Power Sources of Commercial Pressure Washers

There are many ways to classify commercial pressure washers. These machines can be classified on the basis of functionality, portability, and even output power. Also, these machines can be classified based on the power sources.

This post provides an overview of various power sources for commercial pressure washers.

Types of Power Sources
Broadly, there are two kinds of power sources - an electric motor and a combustion engine. Machines with electric motor, as one can guess, require electricity for their functioning. Machines equipped with a combustion engine require a fuel, such as diesel, gasoline, or propane.

Electric Machines
Commercial pressure washers driven by an electric motor are excellent choices for indoor cleaning. These machines make low noise and do not produce exhaust. They provide the same output power as fuel powered machines. These are not recommended for outdoor use in places with no or limited electric connectivity. Machines such as the Super Max™ 12880 require electricity for power, but fuel for heating.

Other Types
The other types of commercial power cleaner machines are known by the type of fuel used in the machine. Gas pressure washer machines use gasoline, while propane pressure washers use propane as fuel.

These are the best machines for outdoor cleaning. These are widely used for cleaning parks, roads, walls, and pavements. The only constraint for these machines comes when these are used for indoor cleaning. The noise and exhaust may cause problems when cleaning closed areas without proper ventilation.
